Eligibility criteria (who you need to be)

- You must be a new Chip customer. A new customer is defined as someone who has never previously held a Chip account.

- You have 14 calendar days from the date you download the Chip app to enter the promo code.

- You must deposit a minimum of £1 in your Chip Instant Access account within 14 calendar days of entering the promo code.

- You must be on at least version 4.56.0 of the Chip app.

How to qualify (what you need to do)

1. Download the Chip app and setup your new account

2. Head to the Profile > Promos & Referrals > Enter a code section of the app

3. Enter the Chip Instant Access rate boost promo code CHIPSAVE

4. You have 14 calendar days to enter the promo code after downloading the app.

5. Open a Chip Instant Access account and deposit at least £1 within 14 calendar days after entering the promo code.

6. The boosted rate is automatically applied to your Chip Instant Access account for a duration of 180 calendar days once you meet the eligibility criteria.

How and when you’ll be rewarded

- The 1.10% AER boost would be applied on top of your existing standard Chip Instant Access account AER interest rate for 180 calendar days when you have met all the above eligibility requirements.

- In the event that the underlying standard Chip Instant Access account AER interest rate changes, your total rate will also change accordingly.

- The boosted rate will be applied on the balance you hold in the Chip Instant Access account each day at 00:00.

- The interest earned from your boosted rate is paid monthly as part of your regular monthly interest payment (4th business day).

- When your boosted rate expires it will return to the existing standard Chip Instant Access Rate.

General

‍With all Chip promotion campaigns, you must be over 18 years old and be a resident of the United Kingdom, in order to participate.

This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional or referral offers. For referral promotions referring multiple users will not increase the AER but will increase the length the boosted rate is applied to your account for. If you have previously received a boosted rate from being referred for a promotion, you will receive the boosted rate following the completion of your previous boosted rate.

Any Chip promotion is also subject to the eligibility requirements of a Chip account, which can be found in Section 4 of our Terms of Use.

If Chip has grounds to suspect any entrant or third party of gaming, deception or fraudulent or unreasonable conduct of any kind (including, without limitation, manipulating promo codes) or if Chip believes the promotion is being abused in any way, Chip reserves the right (in its sole discretion) to disqualify any promo code or person it reasonably believes to be responsible for, or associated with, such activity and/or refuse to apply any promotion.

When we refer to timeframes in the context of promotions or eligibility requirements, “6 months” will always correspond to a period of 180 calendar days. Additionally, “3 months” refers to 90 calendar days, “9 months” refers to 270 calendar days, and “12 months” refers to 365 calendar days. This clarification ensures consistency and accuracy when interpreting the duration of any promotion or boosted rate applied to your account.

‍‍Chip reserves the right to modify or terminate the Boosted Rate Promotion at any time. For any user whom the boosted rate promotion has been applied, Chip will provide 14 days notice to modify or terminate the promotion.
