Why are we doing this?

Our goal has always been to make wealth-building feel simple and intuitive. 

We felt the current portfolio didn’t fully live up to that — or to our vision of what we’re becoming at Chip: the most personal digital wealth manager in the UK.

This update makes it easier to manage your finances, and more importantly, helps you make smarter decisions with greater confidence.

It’s also built with the future in mind. 

So when we eventually introduce products like a SIPP or LISA, they’ll fit seamlessly into this new experience.

Ultimately, we’re doing this for you — to help you take control of your money in a way that’s truly empowering, providing you with more clarity and confidence than ever before.

How did we get here?

Changing the app’s interface was no small decision - especially when it’s a redesign of this scale.

We knew from the start that it would need to strike the right balance between fresh and familiar, improving the experience without losing what people already love.

It took months of exploration, several design iterations, months of user testing, and considerable company-wide collaboration to get it right.

Reaching this final version wasn’t a quick win. We didn't settle until we were confident the new design would make navigating Chip smoother, faster, and more enjoyable for everyone and we're really happy with the final result.
